We understand that authenticity is one of the most important parts
of purchasing vintage and pre-loved luxury, and we approach each
item with care, attention, and respect for the details that make it

Our Review Process

Depending on the item, our review may include an evaluation of:

• Construction and craftsmanship
• Materials, stitching, hardware, and finishes
• Brand markings, date codes, and serial information
• Interior and exterior details
• Style-specific design characteristics
• Provenance and supporting documentation
• Third-party authentication when appropriate

Because authentication methods vary by brand, age, and item type,
not every piece will be reviewed using the exact same process.

Certificates & Documentation

Any certificate, card, receipt, dust bag, box, third-party report,
or other documentation included with an item will be identified in
the product listing.

The absence of original packaging or documentation does not, by
itself, determine whether an item is authentic.

Product Listings

We make every effort to provide clear photographs and accurate
descriptions of each piece, including condition, visible wear,
measurements, included accessories, and identifying details when
available.

Vintage and pre-loved items may show signs of age, use, storage, or
previous ownership. These characteristics are not necessarily
indicators of authenticity concerns.

Please include your name, order number, photographs of the item,
and any written findings or supporting documentation from a
qualified, independent authentication provider.

The item must remain unused, unaltered, and in the condition in
which it was received while the concern is reviewed. All security
tags, packaging, accessories, and identifying materials must remain
intact.

Our Review

Maison La Jolla may request additional photographs,
documentation, or an independent review before making a final
determination.

Do not repair, clean, alter, use, or return the item until written
instructions have been provided.
